    What is ANZSCO?

The system used to classify jobs and professions in Australia and New Zealand is called the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Professions, or ANZSCO. The Department of Jobs and Small Business, Statistics New Zealand, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) are collaborating on this project. ANZSCO codes are essential to the migration process since they indicate if you may work as an engineer in Australia in the field of your choice. Please get in touch with us if you need any advice.

    Understanding ANZSCO Skill Level

A classification known as ANZSCO Skill Level indicates the kind and quantity of education, training, and experience needed to carry out the responsibilities and activities of a particular engineering profession. There are five skill levels; level 1 is the highest and requires the greatest level of experience.

    Skill Level 1
It is equivalent to at least five years of relevant experience or a bachelor's degree or higher certification. In certain cases, both may be needed in conjunction.
    Skill Level 2
An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma, or at least three years of equivalent experience, is required for a Skill Level 2 occupation.
    Skill Level 3
At least three years of relevant experience or an AQF Certificate IV or III, together with at least a year and a half of on-the-job training, are prerequisites for Skill Level 3.
    Skill Level 4
This level is equivalent to an AQF Certificate II or III or a minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
    Skill Level 5
Skill Level 5 occupations require an AQF Certificate I, or compulsory secondary education, or at the very least, some short-term on-the-job training.
